Bangladesh received $1.73 billion in remittance through legal channels, equivalent to Tk 20,716 crore (at an exchange rate of Tk 120 per dollar) in the first 23 days of November. On average, daily remittance inflows stood at $75 million.
This information was revealed in the latest data published by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Sunday.
A review of the central bank’s data showed that in the first 23 days of this November, $640 million came through state-owned banks, $131 million came through a specialised bank, $951 million came through private banks, and $4 million came through foreign banks.
