Chattogram City Corporation mayor Dr.Shahdat Hossain in a directive asked the concerned contractors of ongoing construction works on Airport Road to implement the project works properly with desired quality otherwise payments of bills will be stopped.
He disclosed it at the meeting of CCC Engineers and the contractors at CCC conference hall on wednesday last. At present CCC is undergoing road development works of about Tk.2500 crores. He urges upon the concerned to implement these road construction with eyecatching qualityso as the next generation may appreciate the city corporatin.
About footover bridge, he said after accurate scrutiny, about 17 footover bridge will be built very shortly. He also warned about the tips.In the meet, Chief Executive officer Sheikh Md. Towhidul Islam, secretary Ashraful Amin, chief engineer AbulKasem, chief revenue oficer Humayun kabir chowdhry, project director Md. Anisur Rahman were present , a CCC sources added.
Bangabandu name eliminated from Greater Industrial Zone of Ctg Chattogram Bureau: The words ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib’ is excluded from the name of the country’s largest industrial zone situated in Mirsarai, Chattogram.
The newl re name of the industrial zone is ‘National Special Economic Zone or NSEZ ‘ . After fall the Sheikh Hasina’s autocrative govt, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) proposes to change the name of the Mirsarai special economic Zone .
With this context, an official letter from Chief Advisor’s office was sent to BEZA Executive Chairman to change the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib industrial Zone into National Special Economic zone excluding the words Sheikh Mujib, sources said. In 2018, former Prime Minister unveiled the foundation stone of the great Industrial Zone after the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.. This great industrial economic zone over 30 thousand acres of land is situated 10 kilometers off of Mirsarai in Mirsarai, Sitakunda and Sonagazi upazilas. Sources said out of total lands, factories and industries will be established over 41% land and the remaining lands will be used for playing ground, afforestation, port facility, residential and amusement parks, sources said.
