Rafiath Rashid Mithila has gained recognition by acting in TV dramas. Even a few years ago, Mithila could be seen by turning on the TV.
Her performances in the dramas of romantic stories fascinated the audience.
However, Mithila has not been seen in the drama for the last four years. Now she is sometimes acting in web series and movies.
However, Mithila is far from drama. In a recent interview, she told the reason behind her stay away from the drama.
According to Mithila, she is not seen in dramas because she does not like the stories and characters.
While talking in this regard, the actress said, “I haven’t done any work on television for almost four years. That is not to say that I will not act in the drama. That is not to say that I will not act in the drama. To be honest, the kind of scripts I have been getting for the last few years are not appealing to me. Not liking the characters, the story seems conventional. It seems from hearing the story; I have acted in such stories before. That’s why I’m not doing drama work.”
Mithila now wants to be associated with such content, where there will be an opportunity to act.
She wants to take the challenge of breaking herself and settling into a new role.
Regarding talking about the matter, Mithila told this correspondent, “I have played similar roles many times while acting in television dramas – the character of the girl next door type, and the heroine of the story of love. But after coming to the cinema and OTT platforms, I always tried to do something different. This decision is actually taken for me.”
Citing the example of movie ‘Kajol Rekha’ movie and web series ‘Myself Allen Swapan’, Mithila said, “I want to see myself in different roles as an actor. From that shadow, I played the role of ‘Konkon Dasi’ in the movie ‘Kajol Rekha’. At first, I didn’t think I could do the character. But from the artiste’s point of view, it should be done. After watching the character ‘Shaila’ in ‘Myself Allen Swapan’, many people said that they didn’t think I could portray such a character.”
Mithila said that talking about new series and movies. Soon she will be seen in some new works.
She further told this correspondent, “A big change has come in the country. All in all, no one was thinking about work for the last two-three months. When there is a major political change in the country, everyone thinks about it. Now thinking about the movie-series has started again. I have already spoken to a few directors. Like everyone else, I have a lot of expectations about the New Year.”
