BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to attend the Armed Forces Day celebration at Senakunja this year.
Member of BNP media cell Shayrul Kabir Khan made this disclosure on Wednesday evening.
He said, “BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to attend the Armed Forces Day event at Senakunja on Thursday at 3pm. This will be her first participation in the event since 2009.”
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia received an invitation from the Armed Forces Division of the Chief Advisor’s Office on Tuesday to attend the reception event at Senakunja in honor of Armed Forces Day.
Later that night, Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim and Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Lt Gen ASM Kamrul Ahsan personally handed over the invitation letter to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
