James will sing 1st time in Saudi Arabia

James is running around the country and abroad with ‘Nagar Baul’. Last September that he went to London. He has performed in multiple concerts there. Then he went to Australia at the end of October. Until the middle of this month, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide have done a few concerts.
James has been busy in the stage shows after returning to the country. On November 15, he sang ‘Dhaka Retro’ concert at the Army premises.
This time James disclosed new news. James is going to Riyadh at the invitation of the Saudi Arabian government.
On November 22, James will perform at Al-Suwaidi Park in Riyadh. Through this, he will perform in Riyadh for the first time.
Rubaiyat Thakur Robin, Band Manager of ‘Nagar Baul’, told this correspondent, “We are going to Riyadh for the first time on the invitation of the Saudi government. The audience can listen to the song without a ticket in the event. Hopefully, it will be a good show. Expatriate Bangladeshis are invited.”
Meanwhile, Bangladeshi musician Sabrina Porshi will also be present with her band ‘Bornomala’. Her performance is on November 23.
Before this, an expatriate Bengali band will perform there on November 20.
The concert where James and Porshi will perform is called ‘Bangladesh Week’. It is an important part of the ‘Riyadh Season’ organised by the Saudi government.
It is noted that since 2019, the Saudi government has been regularly organising ‘Riyadh Season’. Every year entertainment-lovers from different countries of the world flock to Riyadh to participate in various events including entertainment, culture and sports. Its fifth season has started from last October 12, will continue till February next year. ‘Riyadh Season’ is running at 14 locations in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, an important part of ‘Riyadh Season’ is around Al-Suwaidi Park.
Eight countries are participating in the 45-day long cultural event this year. Besides Bangladesh there are – Pakistan, India, Philippines, Indonesia, Sudan, Yemen and Jordan.
A few special days have been reserved for each country. On those days certain countries will present their music, dance and traditional foods. Bangladesh has been kept for November 20 to 23. These few days ‘Riyadh Season’ will highlight the art and culture of Bangladesh, according to the organisers.
