Stocks edged up in the first hour of trading on Monday, regaining from the previous day as investors traded selectively amid earnings disclosures.
DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), was up 0.08 percent as of 11:06 am.
It gained 4.73 points to reach 5333.06.
Of the shares, 182 advanced, 107 declined, and 77 remained unchanged.
DSE recorded a total turnover of Tk 151.76 crore.
Leading the gains were Stylecraft Ltd, Doreen Power Generations and Systems, Samata Leather Complex, and Global Heavy Chemicals, each up over 9 percent.
Conversely, ACI Limited’s shares plunged over 14 percent.
Meanwhile, the CSE All Share Price Index (CASPI) rose 0.21 percent, adding 32.40 points to settle at 14891.68.
