A fire broke out at a garment factory in Narayanganj’s Fatullah BSCIC industrial area. The incident occurred on the fourth floor of `KC Apparels’ on Sunday at around noon.
Four units of the Fire Service and Civil Defense worked to control the blaze, successfully extinguishing it by 3 PM. While garments stored in the factory were damaged, no casualties were reported.
Senior Station Officer Abdul Halim of Fatullah Fire Station said the fire originated in the fabric storage area on the fourth floor of the six-story building. The fire service was alerted at 12:25 PM and quickly dispatched two units, joined by one unit each from Pagla and Mandalpara fire stations.
He confirmed that the fire did not spread beyond the affected floor. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are under investigation.
