A memorial meeting was held to honor the late Ruhul Amin Gazi, former president of the BFUJ and a valiant freedom fighter. The event was organized jointly by the Narayanganj Union of Journalists and the Narayanganj Press Club on Sunday, November 17, at the Press Club auditorium.
The program featured discussions on the life and contributions of Ruhul Amin Gazi, followed by a prayer session.
The chief guest of the event was Obaidur Rahman Shahin, acting president of the BFUJ. Khairul Bashar, the vice president, was present as a special guest.
The meeting, presided over by Narayanganj Union of Journalists president Abu Saud Masud, was attended by BFUJ treasurer Khandaker Alamgir Hossain, information secretary Abu Bakr, executive member Abu Hanif, BFUJ member Jalal Uddin Bari, Narayanganj Press Club president Arif Alam Dipu, general secretary Rafiqul Islam Jibon, and Narayanganj Union of Journalists general secretary Mahfuzur Rahman.
Speakers praised Ruhul Amin Gazi as a courageous and uncompromising leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of journalists.
