A view exchange meeting on equitable water transition was held at the Rangpur Press Club Auditorium on Wednesday with an emphasis on reducing the dependence on fossil fuels, creating a habitable world for future generations by reducing the rate of climate change.
Students, journalists, civil society representatives of Rangpur Begum Rokeya University participated in the meeting organised by Action Aid Bangladesh and DOPS as part of Just Energy Transition Newark Bangladesh. President of the Press Club, Monabbar Hossain Mana, spoke as a guest, General Secretary of the Press Club, Marina Lovely.
Under the direction of DOPS Executive Ujjal Chakraborty, Nazia Yasmin, Programme Officer of Action Aid, spoke highlighting various aspects of the movement for sustainable and fair watershed transformation. Among others, students of Begum Rokeya University Abdul Khalek, Anika Akhter, Afzal Hossain, Enamul Haque and others spoke.
