A training workshop on geology was held with journalists of Sylhet Press Club on Tuesday.
A total of 35 journalists participated in this day-long workshop organized by Chevron Bangladesh.
In the opening ceremony of the workshop, the speakers said, Sylhet region is the darkness of the energy sector.
Chevron Bangladesh is working to extract and supply this gas in a proper manner. They said that it is very important for journalists to acquire knowledge about geology. The workshop organized by Chevron Bangladesh for journalists in Sylhet will benefit them in their professional work. Such workshops will be organized in future as well.
Sylhet Press Club President Ikramul Kabir presided and General Secretary Mohammad Sirajul Islam moderated this ceremony.
Sylhet Press Club Ex-President Iqbal Siddiqui, Chevron Bangladesh Field Corporate Affairs Manager Khandaker Tusharuzzaman, Chevron Communications Manager (Corporate Affairs) Sheikh Zahidur Rahman spoke the ceremony .The resource persons were Chevron Geologist Sirajam Munira and Petroleum Engineer Samiuzzaman Khandkar.
