Ace left-arm batter Najmul Hossain Shanto and prolific wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim have been ruled out from the upcoming West Indies Test series. Najmul Hossain Shanto has been suffering from groin injury, while Mushfiqur Rahim’s finger was fractured.
Shanto could not take part in the third and final ODI against Afghanistan and will not play two Test matches against West Indies. Mushfiq could not participate in the second and third ODI against Afghanistan and will not two Test matches against West Indies. In absence of Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz led Bangladesh ODI squad as captain against Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. It was Miraz’s 100th ODI match. He was the 13th Bangladeshi cricketer, who took part in the 13th ODI game. Besides, in absence of Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz will lead the Bangladesh Test squad as the skipper in the upcoming two-Test series against West Indies.
The first Test match between Bangladesh and West Indies will be held at Antigua in West Indies from November 22 November 26. The second Test match between Tigers and the Windies will be taken place at Jamaica in West Indies from November 30 to December 4.
