ABM Ariful Islam has joined as the new Upazila Nirbahi officer (UNO) of Mirzapur upazila of Tangail. On Tuesday (November 5) afternoon, he formally accepted the responsibility from outgoing UNO Sheikh Nurul Alam.
Wednesday was his first day of work. Despite his busy schedule, he exchanged skills with the officials of different departments of the Upazila police, public representatives, journalists and civilized society leaders. At this time, he requested the cooperation of all to modernize Mirzapur Upazila.
It is known that ABM Ariful Islam was a very talented student. He completed his studies in soil science from Chittagong University and started his career in government department as a 35 batch administration cadre. His first posting was as Junior Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Kushtia District Commissioner’s office.
Through efficiency, he joined Phulpur Upazila of Mymensingh district after getting promoted as Upazila Nirbahi Officer within a few days.
Recently, the Public Welfare Ministry directed him to join Mirzapur Upazila Executive Officer of Tangail District. His native district is Bogra. In this regard, the newly appointed officer ABM Ariful Islam said, I want to decorate Mirzapur upazila with the overall cooperation of everyone.
