A day-long training workshop was held at Rangabali in Patuakhali to strengthen the emergency response system in disaster management.
It was organised at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Wednesday afternoon on the initiative of the Directorate of Disaster Managemen. Upazila Disaster Management Committee members were given a workshop in the light of SOD.
Officials of various government departments, public representatives, NGO workers and media workers participated in this workshop. Dilip Kumar Saha, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Disaster Management, was present as a trainer in the workshop. The workshop discussed how to reduce disaster risk.
The workshop was held under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Iqbal Hasan. Upazila Project Implementation Officer Ajit Kumar, Upazila Engineer Habibur Rahman, ICT Officer Masud Hasan and President of Rangabali Press Club Kamrul Hasan etc. were present.
