A 19-member committee has been established to implement the ‘July Memorial Museum,’ headed by author and researcher Dr. Ebadur Rahman.

Following a visit to Ganabhaban, Information Adviser Nahid Islam announced the formation of this committee, which will oversee the transformation of Ganabhaban into the July Memorial Museum.

Adviser Nahid stated, “A committee has been formed to convert Ganabhaban into the July Memorial Museum. Initially, Dr. Ebadur Rahman will serve as the head of this 19-member committee. There is a possibility that student representatives will join later. The final outline for the museum’s implementation will be ready within a week.”

He added, “The memories of injustice and oppression from the past 16 years of the Awami League government will be preserved in this museum, along with the memories of the July-August movement from across the country.”

The Information Adviser emphasized that the museum will not only serve as a repository of memories but will also function as a center for research.

When asked whether this initiative would continue regardless of which political party comes to power after the interim government, he responded, “Other political parties will also uphold the spirit of the July uprising.”
