One of the oldest English daily newspapers, The New Nation, observed its 45th founding anniversary
with various colorful programs. The New Nation was founded by the late Barrister Mainul Hosein, a visionary
thought leader who won the 1973 parliamentary elections from what is now the Pirojpur-2 constituency.
This newspaper has been a beacon of democracy and a partner in the development of Bangladesh.
