Bangladesh Under-17 Football team thrashed Macao by seven goals to nil in the their third match of the Asian Football Federation (AFC) Asian Cup Under-17 Qualifiers at National Sports Complex in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia, on Friday.
Faysal scored four goals with a hat-trick and his teammate Manik netted two goals and their teammate Rifat scored one goal.
By virtue of yesterday’s victory, the red-and-green outfit kept their hope alive to play in the final round. Bangladesh became runners-up in their group phase. Bangladesh collected six points from three matches.
Bangladesh led the first half 1-0.
Faisal scored the opening goal in the 40th minute of the play.
Manik made it 2-0 in the 66th minute of the match.
After one minute, Rifat increased the tally into 3-0.
Manik scored his second goal in the 71st minute of the match.
Faisal netted his second goal in the 75th minute of the clash.
Faysal fulfilled his hat-trick in the 81st minute of the game.
Faysal put the last nail on Macao’s coffin by scoring a goal in the 83rd minute of the game.
Earlier, Bangladesh defeated Philippines by a solitary goal at the same venue on Wednesday last. Shofiq scored the all-important goal in the 18th minute of the game.
Bangladesh lost to hosts Cambodia 0-1 in their opening group match at the same venue on October 19.
