Farmers say that they earn 20 paise per egg. By buying eggs from farms, wholesalers are making a profit of two taka per egg. Retailers are currently making a profit of Tk. The wholesale and retail traders are enjoying such huge profits.
In the retail market of Ishwardi, four eggs are being sold for 55 to 58 taka. There are more or less depending on the store. Even more so in neighborhood shops. Farmers are selling each egg at wholesale for 11 taka. The price of each dozen eggs is 132 taka ie 44 taka Four egg. From the farm to the consumer, the price of each egg is increasing by around 10 to 12 taka. However, the consumer department said that the farmers are also taking advantage of the increase in the price of eggs.

If the syndicate increases the price of eggs, the farmer sells them at a higher price. If the price is reduced, the farmer is forced to sell at a lower price. Nazrul Islam, the farmer of Dashuria, said that he is selling each egg from the farm at the price of Tk 11 fixed by the government. The price of each dozen eggs is 132 taka.
A dozen eggs are being sold at the price of Tk 155 to Tk 160 per dozen at Khairul’s farm on College Road. Each egg from Tk 12.50 to Tk 13. In the retail market, eggs are being sold at Tk 160 to Tk 165 per dozen. Selling at 55 taka or more per hali. Before this, it had risen to 60-65 taka.
