The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced a new increase in gold prices, raising rates by up to 1,890 BDT per bhori. Starting Wednesday, the price for 22-carat gold will be BDT 141,951 per bhori, up from BDT 140,061.
BAJUS attributed the price hike to the local market’s increasing demand for refined gold. The new prices will be as follows: 21-carat gold at 135,501 BDT, 18-carat gold at 116,138 BDT, and traditional gold at 95,423 BDT per bhori.
This increase follows another adjustment on October 19. Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged, with 22-carat silver priced at 2,100 BDT per bhori.
