Administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md Hafizur Rahman on Thursday urged the business community to make logical profit for keeping the country’s commodity market.
“Due to natural calamities including floods, the price of daily commodities had increased slightly. But now, the prices have increased abnormally which is uncomfortable for mass people,” he said while exchanging views with retailers and wholesalers of daily commodities at FBCCI Motijheel office in the city, said a press release.
Hafizur urged the business community to work together to ensure a fair price of the essentials.
Among others, FBCCI Secretary General Md Alamgir, Director of the Bangladesh Competition Commission Dr Umme Binte Salam and Organising Secretary of the Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Syed Mizanur Rahman spoke on the occasion.
