The present interim government’s religious adviser and prominent Islamic speaker Professor AFM Khalid Hossain said that the students want justice for those who were killed in the mass protest. Murder, disappearance are unforgivable crimes for a democratic state.
He said, according to the latest calculations, 752 people were martyred in the July-August movement. Although the account of martyrs will be more than one thousand. Their identities will be identified.
The religious adviser said that the government has started working in a delicate situation. Various issues are being worked on constantly. Now along with state reform, the government will work to improve the law and order situation, create a level playing field for political parties, update voters, so that people will vote. Only then we will hold elections, so that all the political parties of the country can participate in the elections.
He said these things during an exchange of views with journalists at Cox’s Bazar Press Club on Friday
The advisor said, the country’s voting culture has been destroyed. We want to ensure voting culture.
He said, we did not come to rule. We have come to return the rights of the people. He thinks that if this government fails, disaster will befall the country again.
He also promised to work on overall problems of tourism capital Cox’s Bazar.
