Shabnur expresses her gratitude on completion of 31 years in film career

Director Ehtesham brought a new heroine in the movie ‘Chandni Raate’. The heroine’s name was Nupur. Ehtesham changed her name to Shabnur.
The movie was that ‘Chandni Raate’ did not get the expected success but Shabnur’s performance was appreciated.
Directors were eager to work with her. As a result, after a few years, she became one of the busiest heroines of Bangladesh’s cinema.
The movie ‘Chandni Raate’ was released on 15 October 1993.
As such, Shabnur completed 31 years of acting.
On this auspicious occasion, the actress expressed her gratitude to the people involved in the film from the audience on social media.
Shabnur wrote, “My film journey started on October 15, 1993 through the movie ‘Chandni Raate’ by late Ehtesham Dadu, renowned film director. I have completed 31 years today with everyone’s love, Alhamdulillah. By Allah’s grace and everyone’s prayers, I am still alive with enough respect in movies. I am sincerely grateful and indebted to all the artistes involved in this field during the long journey of my film career. I am also grateful to all the producers, directors, co-artistes, screenwriters, playback singers, cameramen and crews.”
“I have become today’s Shabnur because of specially the selfless love and support of my movie viewers and innumerable fans,” she also said.
This once popular film actress now lives permanently in Australia with her family. However, she is in regular contact with her fans through social media.
The actress understands that the audience loves her as before.
While talking in this regard, Shabnur told this correspondent, “Ever since I joined social media, I have always realised that their love for me has not changed, but is increasing. I hope your sincere love for me will continue in the future. I also give special thanks to the journalist brothers and sisters.”
Shabnur has given innumerable successful movies in her long acting career of 31 years. These include ‘Swapner Thikana’, ‘Premer Tajmohol’, ‘Amar Praner Swami’, ‘O Priya Tumi Kothay’, ‘Bhalobasi Tomake’, ‘Ananda Ashru’, ‘Bou Shashurir Juddho’, ‘Hridoyer Bondhon’, ‘Molla Barir Bou’, etc.
After being away from acting for a long time, Shabnur has taken initiative to return in front of the camera again from this year.
After returning home a few months ago, the actress signed a contract for three movies including Arafat Hossain’s ‘Rongona’ and Chayanika Chowdhury’s ‘Matal Hawa’.
