Staff Reporter :

The interim government is set to hold a new round of dialogue with various political parties on October 19, aiming to advance state reform initiatives. Gano Forum, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote, the 12-Party Alliance, Jatiya Mukti Council, Labour Party, Jatiya Party (Andalib), and several other smaller political parties are expected to participate in the discussions.

The primary objective of these dialogues is to reform constitutional institutions, which the government claims were damaged under the former Sheikh Hasina administration. The interim government aims to establish a framework for a free, fair, and impartial general election, as it asserts that citizens have been deprived of their voting rights for the past 16 years.

The Council of Advisers will host the dialogue sessions on Saturday at the Foreign Service Academy as part of the ongoing efforts to gather feedback from political parties and advance the state reform agenda.
