Sagar-Runi murder: Report submission deferred for 112th time

A Dhaka court on Tuesday deferred till November 18 the deadline for submitting the probe report of the case filed over the murders of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi in February of 2012.
This is the 112th extension of the submission deadline.

Dhaka’s Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque passed the order on Tuesday.

Staff Reporter : The BNP on Tuesday urged the interim government to take stern actions over police recruitment irregularities. “There were serious irregularities in the recruitment of 803 sub-inspectors (SIs) and 61 assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) during the dictator Hasina regime.
