The innovative ‘Scan to Pay’ solution by Visa, launched in March this year, greatly enhances the shopping experience with its inherent benefits of speed, convenience and security. It allows Visa cardholders to scan a bKash QR code and pay directly with Visa debit or credit cards, eliminating the need to load funds into the bKash account. It also makes it possible for users with low wallet balance to choose a Visa card and pay.
The ubiquitous bKash QR codes make it easier for millions of Visa cardholders to make cashless payments in over 700,000 merchant outlets in the country. Small businesses benefit from accepting card payments without a POS (Point of Sale) machine while large retail stores service faster queues and quicker checkouts.
