Five students of the traditional Baruna Madrasa of Srimangal Upazila of Moulvibazar district got the opportunity of going for the holy Umrah Hajj after passing the exam.
Jamea Anwarul Uloom Hamidnagar Baruna Title Madrasa of Srimangal, a traditional educational institution of Moulvibazar district, is sending 5 students to Umrah due to the placement (serial) in the merit list of last year’s central examination of government recognized Qaumi Education Board Al Hayyatul Uliya and Bangladesh Qaumi Madrasa Education Board Befak.
Hafez Shihabuddin, Mahdi Hasan Khan, Abdullah Al Arshad, Rashid Ahmad and Ataur Rahman who were given the opportunity to perform Umrah as a reward for their achievements.
According to Baruna Madrasa authorities, Hafez Shihab Uddin, the student of Mishkat Jamaat secured 18th serial in Befaq board in Al Haya and BEFAK board examination 2024, Ataur Rahman who secured 12th serial in Nahbemir Jamaat, Mahdi Hasan Khan, Mishkat
Rashid Ahmed got 10th serial in Jamaat, Abdullah Al Arshad got 33rd serial in Hayatul Uliya.
Principal of Baruna Madrasa Maulana Sheikh Badrul Alam Hamidi said, We take such initiatives to improve the quality of education in the Madrasa and to encourage students to be more focused and motivated in their studies. He also said that if the students are ranked among the 10 in the merit list of Befaq and Haiatul Uliya Board, then Umrah tour will be allotted.
It is known that the student Hafez Shihab Uddin, who received the Umra award, is the son of Maulana Abdus Samad of Doritajpur village in Tillagaon Union of Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar. Abdullah Al Arshad was the son of Muhtamim Maulana Fakhruzzaman of Sylhet Faridabad. Ataur Rahman’s home is in Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar district with such enviable results of students.
