Nawba Tahiya Hossain is a new favourite face for TV drama-lovers in Bangladesh. Among the several dramas broadcasted by her, the viewers who have enjoyed any of her dramas once are impressed by Tahiya’s performance.

Nawba has got good stories from the beginning of her acting career, just as she has got characters according to her heart in those stories. That’s why she was able to act with her mind.
Nawba used to present the children’s show ‘Kanone Kushum Koli’ on BTV as a child. She used to recite. After getting matured, she had to present at the same programme. Due to her artistic presentation, she later got the opportunity to play the role of ‘Borsha’ in BTV’s weekly drama titled ‘Ferar Golpo’.
Nawba Tahiya was the main character of this drama. After the airing of this drama written by Kazi Nurul Huda Jahangir and produced by Shahriar Mohammad Hasan, she became the talk of the town as a newcomer actress.
After that she acted in BTV’s weekly dramas ‘Adalot’, ‘Moddhyobitto’, ‘Swapno Mrittyu Bhalobasa’ and Eid-ul-Azha’s special drama titled ‘Modhujatra’. However, the drama starring Nawba that viewers enjoyed the most and the one in which she came into discussion for her exceptional role is drama ‘Chupichupi’. She acted opposite Niloy Alamgir in this drama.
The drama released in February enjoyed more than one and a half million views.
Other dramas starring Nawba include Rubel Anush directed dramas ‘Salish’, ‘Meghphul’, and ‘Prothom Prem er Banan Bhul’ (short film), and other directors’ dramas titled ‘Bunohash’, ‘Bisorjon’, ‘Boddo Maya Lage’, ‘Sohojatri’, ‘Jed’, etc.

Now Nawba Tahiya is studying in the second year of higher secondary in a college under Dhaka Cantonment.
Nawba shared about her future thoughts to this correspondent by this way, “In a short time I have acted in various challenging roles in good stories. I want to play more challenging roles in the future. The directors have the highest confidence in me. The audience’s love for my work and my acting increases. Whatever kind of character is offered to me, I should be able to absorb it and act like a perfect actress.”
Nawba’s favourite actress is Aupee Karim. Aupee’s acting and her personality impresses Nawba, according to the actress.
Nawba presented ‘Cinemar Priyo Gaan’ programme, which is being aired on SA TV. After becoming a model for GrameenPhone under the direction of Shahriar Polok, she worked in about 25 advertisements.
