A 40-year-old fish trader, identified as Nur Nabi from Govinda Sri village in Netrakona’s Madan upazila, was tragically killed after being struck by a train in the Karwan Bazar area of the capital on Sunday evening.
According to his colleague Jewel Kabir, Nur Nabi was crossing the road when he was hit by the train, reports UNB.
They rushed him to Dhaka Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead around 7pm.
Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the police outpost at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), stated that the body has been placed in the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The incident has been reported to the concerned police station, he added.
