Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Mahfuz Alam on Tuesday said that the government has decided to extend the holiday for the Durga Puja by one day.
He made this remark while visiting Dhakeshwari temple on Tuesday.
Mahfuz Alam said, “Puja holidays will be extended by one day. Thursday will also be a holiday and notification in this regard will be published today.”
According to the calendar, October 13 (Sunday) is a holiday for Durga Puja and October 11-12 (Friday and Saturday) are weekends. So, the government employees will get four consecutive days off.
