Southeast University (SEU) organised a discussion event on Monday dedicated to the celebration of “World Teachers’ Day 2024” at the SEU Multipurpose Hall.
Renowned writer, scholar, jurist, and intellectual Professor Dr Salimullah Khan attended the event as the chief guest, while SEU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, chaired the programme, reads a press release issued Monday.
In his speech, Salimullah highlighted various aspects of ensuring the quality of education in our country, drawing from the education systems of developed nations. He emphasised that the proper development of education is a key indicator of a nation’s progress.
The event also featured speeches by Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Mofazzal Hossain, and Dean of the School of Business Studies (SBS) Professor Dr Md Serajul Islam. The registrar, additional registrar, deans, heads from both academic and administrative departments, faculty members, officials, and student representatives from 19 student clubs of Southeast University also participated in the event.
