Jamaat-e-Islami held a view exchange meeting with the temple committee at the upazila Jamaat’s own office in Ishwardi on Thursday marking Sharadiya Durga Puja of orthodox religious people.
Upazila Jamaat Ameer Dr. Nuruzzaman Pramanik presided over the meeting. Pabna District Jamaat Ameer Professor Abu Taleb Mondal was the chief guest. The meeting was conducted by Mayor Amir Golam Azam.
In the speech of the chief guest, Prof. Abu Taleb Mondal said, our organisation has fraternity with the Hindu community as members. We believe in this politics that everyone should practice their own religion. There is no such thing as minority in this country. Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, we are all Bangladeshi.
He also said that you should observe religious festivals without any disturbance. This time too, Puja will be celebrated in Ishwardi with great enthusiasm. Ishwardi Upazila Jamaat will be next to the traditional brothers and sisters during the Autumn Durgotsob.
