The members of inter-district robbers gang snatched and a half lakh taka from two mobile banking businessmen after kidnapping two brothers named Mizanur and Arif Hossain on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Mirzapur of Tangail.
The members of the robber gang tied the hands and feet of the two brothers and beat them badly, took cash and 05 mobile phones and left them on the side of the highway. After a case at the police station, using information technology, the police arrested two members of the Antjela dacoit gang along with a hitchhike used in the dacoity.
They are Suman Mia (32) son of Insab Ali of Ghazaria village of Sirjganj Sadar Upazila and Shariful Haque (30) son of Solaiman of the same village. By profession, they are vehicle repair workers from garages, but their main occupation is robbery.
