Ex-MP Badi’s men attack RAB members

RAB members were attacked during an operation to arrest Omar Farooq, known as the ‘Cashier’ of former Member of Parliament Abdur Rahman Badi. Three RAB members were injured in this incident.

The incident took place in Old Pallanpara of Teknaf municipality on Tuesday (October 1) midnight. The injured RAB members are – Aminul, Md. Masood and Biswajit.

Later on Wednesday, Cox’s Bazar RAB-15 captain Lt. confirmed the truth of the incident. Colonel HM Sajjad Hossain.

Omar Farooq was a member of Teknaf Municipal Awami League and was the cashier of the discussed ‘drug lord’ and former MP Abdur Rahman Badi.

RAB-15 captain said, we had an operation to catch Farooq. Meanwhile, miscreants threw bricks at RAB’s vehicle.
Some of our members were slightly injured. Legal process is going on in this incident.

A resident of the old Pallan neighborhood of Teknaf Rafiq told reporters that RAB members raided Badir cashier Farooq’s house at night. Farooq ran away from that house.

Later his men threw bricks at the RAB.
Doctor working in Teknaf Upazila Health Complex Khan Alam said that three members of RAB came for treatment at night while injured. They were discharged with first aid.
