A preparatory meeting was held in Ishwardi on the occasion of the upcoming Autumn Durga Puja. The meeting was held on Monday in the Parishad auditorium organised by the upazila administration.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subir Kumar Das presided. He said that all the forces engaged in state work, including the army, police, Ansar, are always on high alert and will remain on alert to celebrate Sharadiya Durga festival in a joyful atmosphere.
Police Inspector (Investigation) Monirul Islam, Senior Fisheries Officer Abdur Rahman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Touhidul Islam, Narcotics Control Directorate Inspector Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Amir of Jamaat Islami Dr. Nuruzzaman Islam, BNP leader Ruhul Amin Bablu, municipal BNP member secretary and press club general secretary Fazlur Rahman, anti-discrimination journalist council joint convener Bobby Sardar, puja celebration council upazila president Sunil Chakraborty And Swapan Kumar Kundu, joint convenor of Maubari and Thakurbari temples spoke. The speakers called for full cooperation in the Durga Puja ceremony in a fair, beautiful and joyful atmosphere.
President and general secretary of 32 Durga temples of the upazila were present at this time.
