Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter today urged traders to ensure uninterrupted supply of eggs and poultry, saying that those must be reached at consumers level at an affordable price.
“Efforts should be made to reduce the cost of production so that the consumers get eggs and poultry at an affordable price,” she said while addressing a seminar as the chief guest.
Bangladesh chapter of World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) organized the seminar on “Cost Effective and Sustainable Poultry Production” in a city hotel, said a ministry press release.
The adviser said they understand that many farms have been shut due to floods, while production has decreased but demand has not decreased.
