Child killed being hit by Deputy Commissioner’s car

A child named Mohammad Tanjim (2) was killed after being hit by the Deputy Commissioner’s car in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar. His mother Rubina Akhtar (32) was seriously injured in the incident.
The accident took place in Kaimarghona area of South Mithachari Union of the upazila on Thursday morning. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin confirmed the matter.
He said that in the morning he was going to Ukhia with the car for administrative work. On reaching Kaimarghona area, his car collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The motorcycle twisted and fell on the pedestrian mother and child. Both mother and son were injured in this incident.
