A gathering was held on On September 23 to commemorate the establishment of the Saudi dictatorship in 1932, organized by the World Sunni Movement and the World Humanity Revolution’s Dhaka Metropolitan Branch, said a press release. The event, termed the “Day of Darkness,” featured speeches from leaders including Allama Imam Hayat, the founder of the World Sunni Movement.

During the meeting, speakers condemned the Saudi regime, describing it as a “destroyer of faith” and a “perverter of religion.” They highlighted concerns over the impact of the Saudi autocracy on rights and freedoms, as well as its detrimental effects on the Holy Shrines. The leaders emphasized that this date represents a dark chapter not only for believers but for all who uphold human rights and dignity.

The gathering served as a call to action against what they characterized as extremism, materialism, and tribalism under the Saudi dictatorship, urging attendees to unite against such ideologies.
