Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has achieved the GIFA Awards 2024 in the “Most Outstanding Islamic Bank 2024” category, conferred by the UK-based Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA).
This was handed over at the Global Islamic Finance Summit held on 17 September 2024 at Paradise Island, Maldives. Senior officials from international regulatory agencies, banks, and non-banking financial institutions participated in the event.
Md. Obayed Ullah Al Masud, Chairman and Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director of the Bank, along with other key officials and directors, were present at the award ceremony. Md. The GIFA Award is prestigious in the global Islamic banking and finance industry. It is awarded annually to prominent organisations and individuals from around the Globe.
