According to the calendar, Goddess Durga will occupy the idol seat at 12:16 PM on Shasthitithi on October 8. According to this Tithi, Mahashtami and Mahanavami and Mahanavami and Vijaya Dashami fall on the same day. Vijaya Dashami will be celebrated on October 12. On this day, the Durgotsavam ceremony will end with the sacrifice.
