The first Test cricket match between Bangladesh National Cricket team and India National Cricket team will begin today at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai of India. The opening day game will start at 10:00am (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Private satellite sports channel T Sports and private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live. The second Test cricket match between the Tigers and India National Cricket team will be held at Green Park in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1.
Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead his team as the skipper, while Captain of India National Cricket team Rohit Sharma will lead him his team as the skipper. The two-Test match series between Bangladesh and India is part of International Cricket Championship (ICC) World Test Championship (WTC).
Before today’s Test cricket match, Bangladesh faced India in 13 occasions. Of them, India registered 11 victories while rest of the two Test matches ended in draws.
Members of Bangladesh National Cricket squad took part in a full-fledged practice session at Chennai of India on Wednesday.
Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Najmul Hossain Shanto said, ” India are tough side. We are agreed with that. But it is important for us to think about our strength not to think the strength of our opponent team.
I believe we have ability to play good cricket here. Our target is to perform well in every days means the five-day. We want to win all the matches. All the international teams play to win. We shall try to win and for that we shall fulfill our duty.”
Shanto also said,” I don’t feel any pressure. I enjoy the matches. We like to face challenge. If our team show can show better brand of cricket it is good for our country. We never believe of in extra pressure.
All of our teammates get pleasure when they used to face any stronger teams.”
” We played very well in Pakistan but it was past. We can earn confidence from that series. We believe we can do well this series”, he added.
Cricfenzy adds :Head Coach of India National Cricket team Gautam Gambhir said, “I have been big believer that we don’t fear anyone but we respect everyone. It is the same with Bangladesh. We don’t look at the opposition and we play the game we know,”
“I congratulate them (Bangladesh) for what they did in Pakistan. But this is a new series, and they are a quality side.
We want to play good cricket. Yes, they have experienced Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz but we want to be switched on from ball one,” he added.
