President of Bangladesh Workers Party and former Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon has been placed on a three-day remand for attacking Mirza Abbas, standing committee member of BNP, during an election campaign in the city’s Shegun Bagicha area on December 15 in 2018.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque passed the order after Investigation Officer of the case produced him before the court on Tuesday with a five-day remand prayer.
According to the case statement, on December 15, 2018, a gang of miscreants equipped with sticks, rods, sharp weapons and cocktails swoop on Mirza Abbas and some BNP leaders during
the election campaign in front of Segunbagicha kitchen market, leaving them critically injured.
