Dhaka Bank receives award by ADB

Dhaka Bank PLC received the Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP) Awards 2024 organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB). This award is even more significant for the bank as it has been won at the highly decorated 10th Anniversary of the TSCFP.

DMD of the bank Akhlaqur Rahman and Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the bank Sahabub Alam Khan received the award from Steven Beck, Head and Neha Noronha, Unit Head, South Asia of Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Asian Development Bank during the ceremony in the presence of more than 200 representatives from ADB’s partner banks and financial institutions in Singapore recently, said a press release.

Dhaka Bank has been able to attain this achievement by being the most active partner bank in Bangladesh to support the highest number of international trade transactions through partnering with ADB in the last fiscal year.

Since 2009, Dhaka Bank has been enlisted as an issuing bank in ADB’s TSCFP program. Utilizing thefacilities of this program, Dhaka Bank is supporting, enriching and expanding the international trade business of its numerous Corporate and SME clients and directly contributing to the country’s economic growth. Currently, 87 Banks from developing member countries in Asia and the Pacific are part of the TSCFP program among which 16 banks are from Bangladesh.

This prestigious award serves as a testament to Dhaka Bank’s unwavering commitment to its global partnersincluding Asian Development Bank. It also highlights Dhaka Bank’s position as a top player in international trade finance and reflects its motto of “Excellence in Banking”.
