Ankhi Alamgir, the National Film Award-winning singer for acting and singing, went to the United States a few days ago. She went there to
perform music in three stage shows.
On the other hand, popular Bangladeshi musician Dinat Jahan Munni has already performed in several other events including FOBANA Convention in the USA.
However, September 7 was a great surprise for the audience of USA. On that day, after 12 years, Dinat Jahan Munni and Ankhi Alamgir performed on the same stage in ‘Bangladesh Parade and Fair 2024,’ organised by Bangladesh Society of Pennsylvania, held at Upper Darby in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Both Ankhi and Munni performed music in front of more than four thousand spectators in the event.
Dinat Jahan Munni and Ankhi Alamgir on the same stage were very excited among the audience. When both of them were performing music, all the present audience enjoyed their performance with great joy.
Ankhi Alamgir performed songs ‘Tumi Amar Koto Chena’, ‘Ore Piriti Bisher Kanta’, and ‘Bhalo Achhi Bhalo Theko’ on stage. On the other hand, Dinat Jahan Munni performed songs ‘Sei Railliner Dhare’, ‘Sob Kotha Bolena Hridoy’, ‘Bokul Phul’, and ‘Bonde Maya Lagaichhe’.
At the end of the event, while expressing her feelings from the USA, Ankhi Alamgir told this correspondent over mobile phone, “This time I came to the United States to perform music in three stage shows. I hope to return to the country on September 12 or 13, Inshallah. All the shows I attended were very neat and nice. Especially in Philadelphia, the event was very big. I really liked to perform music there. I have my sincere gratitude to the organisers.”
On the other hand, Dinat Jahan Munni shared her feelings by this way from USA, “Exactly 12 years ago here in Philadelphia, Ankhi and I performed music on the same stage. After 12 years, we performed music again at the same station on the same stage. At the end of the show, Ankhi and I were reminiscing about the previous show. However, this year’s event was much bigger and organised than the previous event. All in all, it was a great gathering of expatriate Bangladeshis.
