Officials and Employees of the Directorate General of Family Planning of the Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, Ministry Of Health and Family Welfare, have become raged against beneficiaries of the deposed autocrat Hasina government, sources said.
They said the general officials and employees of the DGFP who were oppressed, deprived and victimised of discrimination during the ousted Hasina government are now becoming seriously angry against those who were in very good condition in Hasina’s government.
They have submitted complaints to the Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum in the health ministry against those beneficiaries’ employees who have enjoyed special facilities and were involved in illegal tender business and various other corruptions in the DGFP.
In the written complaints, they have alleged register scam, tender business and corruption against DGFP Director (MIS) Md. Taslim Uddin Khan and former Director (MIS) Md. Shahadat Hossain.
In the complaints, they alleged that contractor company Nipun printing industries was paid the total payment of Tk1.75 crore in 2018 and 2019 without providing their work of supplying family planning assistant register (9th edition), supplementary register and different types of MIS forms.
It read that DGFP Director (MIS) Md. Taslim Uddin Khan and former Director (MIS) Md. Shahadat Hossain has give this illegal facility to the contractor company.
The then materials and delivery unit’s Deputy Director Md. Shahadat Hossain and Family Planning Officer Md. Rafiqul Islam helped the Nipun printing industries to get the contract.
Shahadat Hossain was president of the tender evaluation committee while Rafiqul Islam was member secretary.
Everyone of the DGFP knows that its Director Taslim Uddin Khan and Nipun printing industries’ owner Iqbal Haider Chowdhury were hailed from the same area (Sirajgonj).
As per the agreement, the company has to deliver all goods within eight weeks, but the then Additional Director (Drugs and Stores) Taslim Uddin Khan has given the company a receiving statement without getting any supply exchanging huge bribery.
As a result, the company was fully paid their contract money without delivering the materials.
