Chief Adviser to Bangladesh Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus has greeted Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team after the Tigers making history by whitewashing Pakistan National Cricket team in the two-Test match series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi of Pakistan on Tuesday. Muhammad Yunus hailed Shanto over mobile phone.
Acting Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Shahriar Nafees confirmed this matter through his Facebook on the same day.
Meanwhile, the press wing of the Chief Adviser revealed a press release on the same day. In that release, the press wing stated Dr. Muhammad Yunus has congratulated Shanto over mobile phone.
Yunus said to Shanto, ” Bangladesh Government and I express you heartiest facilitation for you and your teammates success. The whole nation has become proud for you and your teammates success.”
Yunus also said the Bangladesh Government will accord reception to Bangladesh National Cricket squad for their success after they return to Bangladesh.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh National Cricket team earned a 10-wicket victory over Pakistan National Cricket team in the first Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi of Pakistan on August 25. It gave an outstanding and historic Test victory for the Tigers.
Then, the Tigers defeated the hosts by six wickets in the second Test at the same venue on September 3. Thus, Bangladesh achieved a historic two-Test series victory against Pakistan.
