Former state Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat has been detained.
He was arrested from Gulshan in the capital on Tuesday. However, in which case he has been arrested, itwas
not yet known.

of 2023 last year was Ashraful Alom aka
Hero Alom, who was discussed in the social media. Miscreants beat Hero Alom on polling day for taking part in the election. On that day, Hero Alom said that those people who beat him were Arafat’s people.
Hero Alam took sweets to the police station in connection with the arrest of Arafat.
Hero Alom said that he went to Gulshan police station with sweets.
While talking in this regard, Hero Alom told media, “You all have seen that I visited the polling station of Bannai Bidya Niketan School and College in Dhaka-17 by-election. Some
people wanted to kill me on the orders of the former Prime Minister Arafat. The police in charge there did not stand by me. Somehow I survived.”
It is noted Arafat has been working as a ‘think tank’ of Awami League for a long time.
He became a member of the Central Executive Committee of Awami League in December 2022.
