Sports Reporter :

Former Mohammedan Sporting Club director in-charge and BCB director Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan on Monday said that the year of 2019 he was became the target of some leaders of Awami League(AL). Why am I in BCB as a person of BNP.

IN that time BCB’s former president Saber Hossain Chawdhury has directly criticised me in the media. I think that I was involved in the casino scandal to keep me away from the stadium.

Nazmul Hassan Papon was the BCB president. At that time Saber Hossain Chowdhury wanted to return to the cricket board. As a close friend of Papon, he targeted me. But I did not help Papon as BCB president. It was an official decision. Probably I was an easy target compared to other directors .

About the complaint of embezzlement of money by Mohammedan Sporting Club, Lokman said, ‘At one time we could not build a strong team due to lack of money. I had to run the club almost by begging. Mohammedan Sporting Club is a limited company. Regular updates are kept about the income and expenses of the club.

Every rent of the hall room has been deposited in the account. They have receipts. And all the expenses of the club are also accounted for through the bank account. Regular audits have been done in the AGM of the club.’

‘When I was arrested, the acting president of Mohammedan Sporting Club, former Attorney General Advocate AM Amin Uddin stated in the AGM of the club, Mohammedan has never rented a casino.’

Lokman Bhuiyan said, ‘After I was arrested, RAB informed in a press conference that 41 crore taka were found in my account, which is completely false and baseless.’

Lokman Bhuiyan said, “I am a member of the Mohammedan Club. Yes, after the casino incident, I resigned from the Cricket Board and the Board of Directors of Mohammedan Sporting Club. But I am not an outsider of Mohammedan. I have been with sports for the last 30 years.

I want to stay with the sport till the end of my life.’
