Bangladesh Under-20 National Football team will take on Nepal Under-20 National Football team in their final of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-20 Championship today at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex in Nepal. The final match will kick-off at 2:45pm (Bangladesh Standard Time)
Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka were in Group-A, while India, Bhutan and Maldives were in Group-B.
Nepal emerged the Group-A champions grabbing maximum six points from two matches, while Bangladesh became runners-up in Group-A bagging three points from as many matches.
On the other hand, India emerged the Group-B champions gaining six points from two matches, while Bhutan became runners-up in Group-B earning three points from as many outings.
On way to final, Bangladesh blanked Sri Lanka by two goals to nil on August 20.
Bangladesh lost to Nepal by 1-2 goals on August 22.
Bangladesh defeated India by 4-3 goals in the tie-breaker of the second semi-final on August 26. The stipulated ninety-minute match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Nepal beat Sri Lanka by a solitary goal on August 18.
Neapl defeated Bhutan by 4-1 in the tie-breaker of the first semi-final on August 25. The stipulated ninety-minute match ended in a 1-1 draw.
