The body of a teenager was recovered by Madhukhali Police Station on Wednesday (August 21) from a pond near Maisa brick kiln in Rajdharpur area of Arpara Union of Upazila, three days after he went missing in Madhukhali of Faridpur. The teenager’s name is Tanvirul Islam Tamim (16). He is the son of BGB member Ohidur Rahman of Kamarkhali village of Kamarkhali union. Tanvirul has failed in one subject in the SSC examination this year.
According to family sources, the deceased youth failed in one subject after giving SSC examination in 2024 from Arpara High School, as a result of which he always stayed quietly at home.
But suddenly last Sunday (August 18) after leaving home at 5 pm, he did not return home. But suddenly, on Monday (19th August), the next day after his disappearance, his mother received a phone call demanding Tk 10 lakh and threatening to kill her son if she did not pay. Later, when she tried to contact that number, that number is found closed. Distraught, the family members filed a general diary with the Madukhali police station.
