A fire that erupted on the eighth floor of a 12-storey residential building on Road No. 5 in Dhanmondi on Wednesday morning resulted in injuries to at least three people.
Fire Service media wing officer Md Shahjahan Shikder reported that the blaze started at approximately 10:25 am. Upon receiving the alert, six firefighting units arrived at the scene and managed to bring the fire under control around 11:17 am.
The cause of the fire, the extent of damage, and any further details on casualties are yet to be determined. The three injured individuals, who were trapped in the building, have been rescued and transported to a hospital for treatment.
