In a compassionate response to the recent anti-discrimination protests, Mastul Foundation has taken a significant step by providing financial assistance to individuals injured during the movement.

The foundation’s initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of those who have endured physical and emotional trauma as a result of their involvement in the demonstrations.

The protests, which were fueled by a demand for equal rights and an end to discrimination, saw many participants sustaining injuries, some severe enough to require long-term medical attention and rehabilitation. Recognizing the urgent need for support, Mastul Foundation swiftly moved into action.

The organization decided to offer financial aid after observing the dire conditions of the injured, many of whom faced significant challenges in accessing proper medical care and maintaining their daily lives due to their injuries.

Mastul Foundation’s efforts began with on-site visits to several hospitals across Dhaka, including Dhaka Orthopedic Hospital, Dhaka Medical College, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, and Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital. These visits allowed the foundation to assess the needs of the injured protesters firsthand.

During these assessments, the foundation identified a substantial number of patients who required immediate assistance. As a result, Mastul Foundation has already started providing financial support to these individuals, ensuring they receive the necessary medical treatment and resources to aid their recovery.

The foundation’s support extends beyond just covering medical expenses and medication costs. Recognizing the holistic needs of the injured, Mastul Foundation is also addressing the psychological impact of the injuries. To help the injured cope with the trauma and stress caused by their experiences, the foundation is offering counseling services.
